Scouting Mountains and Stomping Snow

Only one measly post in April? How sad - but don't worry. I currently have ten blogs of pictures uploaded and waiting to be captioned! As usual, it is not the lack of pictures, but the lack of time to go through them all. But no rushing ahead - we must start back at the beginning - back before Easter that is!
Remember when the weather was warming and it seemed like Spring was here? For those who experienced 90 degree weather instead of snow this past weekend, maybe you don't. But here's a look at Scout Mountain with a cloud hanging over it.
We brought snowshoes in case there was still too much snow to be hiking in. But alas, in the car they stayed since the first few feet were clear. As you can see, that didn't last long, but who wants to go back?
And in case Spring really was here, Shayna had to ensure she got one more faceplant completed before the Spring thaw.
A great view with the trees covered in fresh snow at the base of the mountain.
Two hikers pretending not to care that their feet are frozen after hiking through deep snow without snowshoes that were still in the trunk.
No outing would be complete without it!
A herd of deer who were attempting to cross the road in front of me. Look close and I'm sure you'll see more.
Celebrating Easter in style!
